West Coast College Online Application Forms: 2022/2023 Admission

This article contains information on the West Coast TVET College Application form and requirements for admission into certificate and Diploma as well as undergraduate Programmes for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified SCHOOL LEAVERS, NON-SCHOOL LEAVERS, and SPECIAL CASES.

WEST COAST TVET COLLEGE ADMISSION GUIDELINES AND FORMS

It is in your best interest to apply before the deadline as space is limited per course.

Step 1: Choosing your Course

  • Please choose the course of your choice and the campus you would like to study at or where the programme is offered

Step 2: Apply online

  • Access the online application or visit a campus near you. Students with special needs should please contact our Student Support Office on (022) 482 1143 as well as complete the Special Needs Application Form, you can download here

Step 3: Upload documents

  • Complete the Applications online application with the following supporting documents stated below and submit it online.

NB Residence Application is a separate process.

Step 4: Competency Assesment Testing

  • All new students need to undergo a Competency Assessment Test (CAP) to determine applicants numeracy and literary levels. It is not meant to exclude but rather assist students. Please Contact the Career Guidance Officers per campus for more info

UPLOAD SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION

Everyone applying for a new qualification must submit the required documents (all first-time applicants and West Coast TVET College students starting a new qualification). The due date for uploading the required documents is the closing date for applications. No documents submitted after the closing date for applications will be accepted.

West Coast TVET College does not provide scanners or electronic devices. Please ensure that your documents are scanned and uploaded to an electronic device before starting the application process.

Make sure that your application is complete

If your application for admission to study through the West Coast TVET College is incomplete, you will have to re-apply during the next application period.

WEST COAST TVET COLLEGE APPLICATION REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  • Certified copy of your Identity Document. If you are younger than 16 years of age, and do not have a green bar-coded ID or smart ID card, you must submit a certified copy of your unabridged birth certificate.
  • Certified copy of identity Document of each household member including parents or legal guardian.
  • Certified copy of your latest academic transcript or exam results. If you are currently in Grade 12, you do not need to submit this document.
  • If you have been exempted from paying fees, please provide a letter from the school informing NSFAS that you have been exempted.
  • Certified or official copy of recent payslip, letter of employment, not older than three months, for each parent, or the person who supports you, or your guardian or yourself if you are employed. This is for all types of employment or all forms of income for all members of the household. This includes any income received from SASSA grants, Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), or any retirement, life, disability or other benefits paid as a lump sum or in monthly payments.
  • If your parents or person who supports you or your legal guardian are retired, please provide a copy of an official pension slip or bank statement showing payment.
  • If your parents or the person who support your or your legal guardian works as an informal trader, please provide an affidavit signed by them to confirm this employment.
  • If either of your parents is deceased, please provide a certified copy of the death certificate.
  • If your parents are divorced, please provide a certified copy of the divorce decree.
  • If either of your parents does not live at home, please provide an affidavit explaining the reasons.
  •  Certified copy of a SASSA letter if any of your family members are receiving a social grant and are also contributing to your household income. This also applies to your legal guardian.
  • If you have indicated that a dependent in your household is a student, provide proof of registration or acceptance at TVET college or university for each dependent.
  • If you have disability, please complete the relevant supporting documents

N:B

  • Two copies of each document must be provided.
  • All copies must be originally certified.
  • Faxed copies will NOT be accepted
